Washing

All Brown Goose Quilts can be machine washed, in fact I recommend it as hand washing is difficult and can cause colours
to run. Use the lowest setting on your machine, which is usually
the wool cycle.

I recommend a gentle detergent such as Ecover washing liquid.

Wall hangings with hand embroidery and / or embellishments
should only be washed if absolutely necessary. Remove dust
with a soft brush.

Do not bleach or dry clean.

Drying

Tumble drying can cause uneven shrinking and damage your
quilt. Dry flat if possible, the best way is to lay a clean towel
or sheet on the ground outside and lay the quilt face down
upon it. Line drying is the best alternative.

Do not iron. Ironing flattens the wadding that has just been plumped up by being washed. Don't worry if the quilt looks wrinkled, this is a desirable effect giving the quilt an antique look.
